If you answered yes to any of
these questions and desire to get together with your like-minded buddies more often than once a
month at Guild meetings, or would like to meet with a smaller group in a different setting, then
maybe one of our "Bees" is right for you! There are several mini-groups, or Bees, that have
formed within the last year.
If you are interested in joining in the fun please contact
a Bee leader (there may be a group that suits your time schedule) they have a chair waiting for
you! If you are interested in forming your own Bee; or would like to find out more about the Bees
and how they work, please contact the BeeKeeper. We will see if we can get you buzzing along
within the hive.
The more Bees, the more fun, the more quilts ... what could be better?

Pablo BEEcassos
A focused group for those members interested in non-traditional quilting techniques and styles
such as the art quilts, embellished quilts, fabric painting and dye, computer-generated fabric,
digitized images or photographs, silks, leather or other textiles, three dimensional techniques,
etc. Contact Ellen Blair at (336)722-0336.
The Beecassos have periodic group challenges, which are tons of fun and push our creativity to
new levels. These examples are the results from those challenges. In this challenge, each
participant was given an identical bag of "stuff" and was to incorporate at least 9 of the items.
It is inspiring to see other's creative side.
NOTE: Please see excerption Beecasso Article
as featured in the May'08 issue of
The Community Arts Café, an exceptional on-the-web e-magazine about
"Arts in the Triad."
