Our June meeting was great! As asked by the program director, three members shared one of their first quilts, two favorite quilts and a current project. This program celebrated that we are all on a personal journey of growth in quilting. Marla Silbernagel, Claffertene Nystrom, and Lita Wieter presented their work. Marla stated that many quilts she made over the years “taught me something pivotal” at that moment that she needed at that point in her quilting journey. She also said that “a quilt top done is better than a quilt top not done” which seems simple but is such a good truism; there is value in just finishing a project! We learned the value of THOUGHTFUL color selection as all three ladies demonstrated with their selected pieces.
Thanks, ladies, for this wonderful meeting!
