6:30 Social; 7:00 Program
As we enter the fall and (hopefully) cooler weather, the guild season is getting exciting! We will have a wonderful presentation on September 12. The Santa Suit girls will be talking about their children’s book and accompanying pattern for Christmas quilts. Really looking forward to hearing their story! Our Charity Quilts are also entering the homerun – especially the PreK nap blankets. They will be distributed this week – just in time for the little ones to pick out their favorite. A huge attagirl goes to Ellen Hart as she really worked extra hard to make sure we had sufficient numbers to accommodate bigger class sizes. Melinda Harris is stepping into this role and I’m sure she will be as fantastic. JoAnn Vincent (Senior Services) and Amy Elliott (Preemie Quilts) are continuing to collect for their charities. Please consider making one or two quilts for these important non-profits. They make a wonderful palette cleanser between larger projects. Plus, it’s a great way to use up those scraps and orphan blocks!
Our next meeting will be on September 12 at Parkway Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall. The Program will start at 7:00. But feel free to come a bit early to visit with fellow members. Looking forward to seeing all of you in September!
Please remember that we have a real need for Senior, Premie and Nap Blankets.
